Registered Nurse – Ortho

Location: Maryville, Tennessee Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 3x12 or 4x12 (18:45–07:15) Hours: 12 hours per day, 48 hours per week Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (may change based on need)

Role Details

• Floating is required if needed to other units based on skill set.
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Does not accept first-time travelers.

Required Qualifications

• Valid, active RN license in Tennessee (multistate license accepted)
• At least 1 year of orthopedics experience, with experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic

Onboarding Requirements

• Background and screening: 7-year background check, OFAC, HHS/OIG and SAM/EPLS clearances (within 30 days of start), and state license verification.
• Health: Physical exam within 1 year, negative TB test within 90 days (or chest X-ray if positive), annual TB questionnaire, annual drug screen (5-panel within 12 months), flu vaccine or exemption, Hepatitis B documentation, and proof of immunity to measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella. Tdap is required only for high-risk areas (BMT, NICU, RRT, CRT).
• Online training: Approximately 12 hours of online modules, due within 72 hours of assignment, and pre-start testing (about 2–3 hours, completed on a wired computer using Chrome).
• Other: Current driver's license or state ID (required immediately upon signing), E-Verify attestation, Respirator Fit Test (completed onsite), and badge photo (sent the Tuesday before start).
