Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Columbus, Ohio.
- Based in a lower-acuity cardiac PCU.
- Night shift, 3x12s, 19:00–7:30.
- Estimated patient ratio: 1:3.
- Weekdays and some weekends; rotating holidays.
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio.
- 1 year of PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience within the last year.
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
- IV insertion skills.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring.
- Experience with Epic.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- 2 professional references.
- Employment application.
- Skills checklist.
- Emergency Contact Form.
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start.
- Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 1 year of start.
- License verification within 30 days of start.
- NURSYS verification.
- Unit-specific competency exam.
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam.
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 1 year of start and updated annually.
- Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement.
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Training Certificate.
- Confidential Fraud Waste Abuse and Compliance Reporting Mechanism Form.
- Dress code and hand hygiene policy acknowledgement.
- Physical exam.
- Negative TB or chest x-ray.
- Tdap.
- Drug screen.
- Flu vaccination or declination during flu season.
