MS/Tele Float

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Castro Valley, California.
• Float pool assignment in MS/Tele, with coverage across multiple MS/Tele and MS units within scope of practice.
• 13-week contract.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of float experience
• Float experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start.
• Sex Offender Search required within 90 days of start.
• FACIS Level 3 search required within 2 weeks of start and monthly after start.
• California Medi-Cal Search Result required if FACIS III cannot be run monthly.
• Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps.
• Work history verification must cover up to 7 years and explain gaps over 30 days.
• Unit-specific skills checklist required.
• References are an Aya requirement only; Sutter does not require references.
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start.
• Fit test required within 1 year of start and annually.
• TB screening questionnaire required within 90 days of start and annually.
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray required within 90 days of start, with annual renewal for TB testing.
• Negative 9-panel drug screen required within 6 months of start.
• Color blind exam required before start if color deficiency is present.
• Candidate must review and sign required pre-start documents, including orientation and conduct forms.
• Badge photo required before start.

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
