Overview

• Travel/contract role in West Islip, New York
• Unit: 5 Main Days, ER Holding
• Shift: Day, 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Acute Care or one of comparable or higher acuity
• Acute Care experience within the last year
• Valid RN license in New York
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• 2 clinical references at supervisor level or above; Charge RNs are acceptable
• Employment application must include 7 years of employment with any gaps explained
• Skills checklist must be current within the last year and applicable to the position

Preferred Qualifications

• EPIC EMR experience

Compliance / Onboarding Requirements

• Driver’s license or state ID with address and clear picture
• Background check and required exclusion searches
• Education verification or transcript/diploma
• State license verification within 30 days of start
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam with minimum score of 80%
• AUP form signed before start
• Facility-specific physical exam form completed by a physician within 30 days of start
• Fit test within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, and flu documentation
• Standard 9-panel drug screen
• COVID vaccine documentation if received
