Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Pediatric Hematology / Oncology (2 years of experience)
• Pediatric Hematology / Oncology experience within the last year
• Bone Marrow Transplant experience
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic
• Valid government-issued photo ID
• Background check completed before start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM completed within 30 days prior to start
• HHS/OIG completed within 30 days prior to start
• State license verification completed within 60 days prior to start
• Competency exam with a score of 85% or higher
• Skills checklist within 1 year of start
• Two manager or supervisor references from the last 24 months
• Employment application with at least 7 years of work history, including city and state for each position
• Negative TB or chest X-ray on file within 10 calendar days of start
• TB questionnaire
• Fit mask clearance within 1 year prior to start
• Tdap within 10 years or signed declination
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation or declination as specified
• Flu vaccination or signed declination
• Drug screen within 3 months prior to start
• Professional appearance policy signed prior to start
• Job description signed prior to start
• Coronavirus protocol attestation signed
• Facility-specific compliance documents completed before start

Preferred

• First-time travelers accepted with 3+ years of experience

Unit / Patient Population

• Intermediate level of care for patients ages 0–18
• May also follow certain pediatric oncology patients until age 25
• Supports Hem/Onc/BMT patients on other units, including chemotherapy support, BMT expertise, and central line support
• Common diagnoses include leukemia, brain tumors, bone tumors, sarcoma, lymphomas, blood diseases, immunological diseases, storage diseases, bone marrow transplants, and graft vs host disease
