Job Opportunity: GI/Endo Tech

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & Shift

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Day shift, 5x8 hours)
• Call Required:

  • Weeknights: 4:30 PM to 7:30 AM (average 8 weeknights per 6-week schedule)
  • Weekends: 24 hours (average 2 weekends per 6-week schedule)
• Floating required to assist with cases in the Operating Room (OR)
• No block schedule accommodations
• Guaranteed hours with ability to be called off once every two-week pay period

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician
• Endoscopy Technician experience within the last year
• Call availability required as described above

Certifications (as applicable)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• Chemotherapy certification (if applicable)
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (if applicable)
• IV Certification (if applicable)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) (if applicable)
• NIH Stroke Certification (renew every 2 years)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) (if applicable)

Note: Certification requirements depend on the specific clinical track and will be verified.

Required Background and Documentation

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card (as applicable)
• Background Check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start; updated monthly
• Education Verification for all candidates (nursing degree verification for RNs)
• Employment Application covering at least last 5 years of employment
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
• Work History Verification required if reference exceptions are requested
• Skills Checklist updated annually (if applicable)
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start
• Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
• Respiratory Safety Clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
  • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
• Fit Mask testing required for travel candidates, updated annually (specific mask types and onsite testing details apply)

Additional Requirements

• Float Policy Acknowledgement: willingness to float to other nearby facilities as needed
• Badge photo (passport style with neutral background) required
• Epic training modules completion required prior to or shortly after start date
• State-specific background and license verifications as applicable (e.g., Washington, Oregon, Alaska)
