Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Ridgewood, New Jersey

Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Description

• Must hold ARRT (N) certification in Nuclear Medicine at time of submission.
• New Jersey State License required; can submit with pending license (1-2 weeks to obtain).
• Must be willing to float to two additional nearby locations within the region.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in New Jersey.
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
• ARRT (N) certification.
• ARRT certification.

Health Requirements (Must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)

• Physical exam or statement of health signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP confirming good health and ability to perform job duties.
• Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual Quantiferon Gold or T-spot within 6 months, or 2-step PPD).
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody or declination
• Seasonal flu vaccination (mandatory; no declinations accepted).
• COVID-19 vaccination: completed initial series and booster required; no exemptions accepted.
• Negative 9-panel drug test (urine).

Documentation and Verification

• Two professional references required:

  • One supervisory reference from within 12 months.
  • One professional reference from within 3 years (not necessarily supervisory).
• Employment history verification for the last 7 years; gaps over 30 days must be explained.
• Unit-specific skills checklist required.
• Background check including:

  • 7-year history within 6 months of start.
  • National sex offender, criminal, OIG sanction, SAM.gov, OFAC sanctions, and other relevant searches.
• Education verification of highest degree; diploma may be used as placeholder if verification is pending.
• License verification must be run within 30 days prior to start; no temporary or emergency licenses accepted without approval.

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific self-learning modules and post-tests prior to start.
• Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing policies.
• Core competency exams must be updated annually and passed with at least 80%.
• Candidates must be prepared to provide information for ID badge creation during orientation.
