Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Nights (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
  • Patient Ratios: Typically 1:5, with possible 1:6-7
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes; 3 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
  • On-call: No
  • Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
  • Block Schedule: Not accommodated
  • Locals Accepted: Yes
  • Pending License Accepted: No
  • RTO (Request Time Off) Restrictions:
    • No holiday RTO approved the day before, day of, or day after a holiday
    • Maximum 5 total days off in 13-week assignment
    • No additional RTO after submittal or while working on contract
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Attendance Policy: Zero-fault attendance policy; missed shifts count as unexcused. Two missed shifts result in a warning; three or more may result in cancellation.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
  • Current ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Background check within 30 days of start (7-year criminal search, sex offender, nationwide, social security trace)
  • Copy of diploma or transcript required (unofficial transcripts acceptable if graduation date included)
  • Primary source verification of state nursing license required
  • Unit-specific competency exam required
  • Completion of required facility modules prior to start
  • Physical exam within one year stating "cleared to work" with physician signature
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year (or chest X-ray within 5 years if prior positive)
  • Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Drug test within 30 days of start (10-panel, negative results)
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – May 1)
  • Two professional references required prior to start
  • Work history verification for last 3 years (attestations acceptable; can be pending at start)
  • Annual skills checklist and performance evaluation (if applicable)

Additional Notes

  • Floating may be required within scope of practice
  • No accommodations for block scheduling
  • Strict attendance and RTO policies apply
  • Badge photo required prior to start (plain white background, no filters)
  • Various facility-specific agreements and checklists must be signed prior to start
