Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU
Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Description
- Every other weekend required.
- Requires 2 years of Telemetry (Tele)/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
- Accepts first-time travelers (prior travel experience not required).
- Level 1 trauma experience required.
- Preferred skills: comfortable managing insulin drips, heparin drips, and possible cardiac drips.
- Patient ratio can be up to 1:4-5.
- Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year.
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Telemetry/PCU nursing.
- Level 1 trauma experience required.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
Additional Information
- Must complete various competency exams and certifications through designated platforms within specified timeframes.
- Must maintain all required documents and certifications current throughout the assignment.
- Candidates must pass all required background checks and health screenings prior to start.
- Candidates must be willing to comply with facility-specific policies and procedures, including COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemptions.
