Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU

Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Description

• Every other weekend required.
• Requires 2 years of Telemetry (Tele)/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
• Accepts first-time travelers (prior travel experience not required).
• Level 1 trauma experience required.
• Preferred skills: comfortable managing insulin drips, heparin drips, and possible cardiac drips.
• Patient ratio can be up to 1:4-5.
• Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year.
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Telemetry/PCU nursing.
• Level 1 trauma experience required.
• Prior travel experience is not required.

Additional Information

• Must complete various competency exams and certifications through designated platforms within specified timeframes.
• Must maintain all required documents and certifications current throughout the assignment.
• Candidates must pass all required background checks and health screenings prior to start.
• Candidates must be willing to comply with facility-specific policies and procedures, including COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemptions.
