Job Opportunity: Tele Float Registered Nurse

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Float pool position requiring flexibility to work on various units as needed.
• Must be willing to float and adjust shift start times by up to 4 hours before or after the scheduled time based on unit needs.
• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week), including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
• Two pass/fail exams at orientation: Medication exam and Telemetry exam (one attempt allowed each). Failure to pass results in immediate contract cancellation. Study materials provided.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
• Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release required prior to start.
• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, including SSN trace, county searches, national criminal search, and education verification.
• Education verification of highest completed education (transcript acceptable if verification unavailable).
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions.
• Drug testing within 30 days of start covering multiple substances.
• Immunizations or valid declinations required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, NICU, Maternity)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Seasonal Flu (during flu season)
  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
• TB testing: Two PPDs or QuantiFERON/T-Spot within 90 days; chest X-ray if positive TB history. TB questionnaire required for all candidates.
• NURSYS license verification within 30 days prior to start.
• Employment application documenting 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
• Two professional references within the last three years.
• Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually as applicable.
