Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Freehold, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Day shift, 5x8 hours)
One weekend shift required per month (Saturday or Sunday)
Weekend call coverage every 10th week for OR/Busy Call, with a 30-minute report response time

Required Experience & Skills

Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
Operating Room experience required
Experience with EPIC charting system

Licenses & Certifications

Valid New Jersey Radiology Technologist license (must be obtained prior to start)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
ARRT certification required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit
Additional certifications may be required based on unit assignment (e.g., NIH Stroke Certification, PALS, NRP, TNCC)

Required Qualifications & Compliance

Valid Radiology Technician license in New Jersey
Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year
ARRT certification
BLS certification
X-Ray Technician experience

Required Qualifications & Compliance

Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster (no declinations accepted)
Background check within 30 days of start covering past 7 years, including state and federal criminal records, sex offender search, education verification, and more
Physical exam or "Fit for Work" statement completed within 12 months of start
10-panel urine drug screen within 30 days of start
Immunization and titer requirements:
- Positive MMR titer with booster if low
- Positive Varicella titer with booster if low
- Hepatitis B titer preferred (declination allowed)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual for ER and Microbiology Lab)
Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)

Competency & Testing Requirements

Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for RNs (not applicable for this role)
Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required within 12 months (not applicable for this role)
Pass/Fail testing for Basic or Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam (not applicable for this role)
Unit competency exam within 12 months, must score >80% (if applicable)
CEUs required annually for certain specialties (verify based on unit)

RTLS badge may be issued; traveler responsible for $37.50 fee if lost or not returned
Photo for badge must be passport style (headshot, no hats/masks, neutral background)
Several facility-specific documents and attestations must be completed within 48 hours of signing (e.g., email access, security access, privacy/confidentiality statements)
References: 2 current references related to the position, from supervisors/managers within past 2 years

Summary
