Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry) - Travel/Contract

Location: Lancaster, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Patient Ratios: 1:6 to 1:7
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-call: Not required
Floating: Required to float within scope to like units with similar patients

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Scheduling & Policies

Guaranteed Hours: Facility may cancel 1 shift every 2 weeks
Call-Out Policy: Contract may be canceled after 2 call-outs without documented medical reason
Block Schedule: May be requested but not guaranteed
Attendance at staff meetings is required

Health & Compliance Requirements

Physical Exam: Initial physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands
Immunizations & Titers:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if low titer
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if low titer
TB Testing: Negative T-spot or Q-Gold within 90 days of start; follow-up required if positive
Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (Aug 1 - Mar 31); medical/religious exemptions accepted, declinations not accepted
COVID-19 Vaccines: Not required but highly preferred; vaccination records must be uploaded or declination form completed
