Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel/Contract)

Location: Lubbock, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts of 12 hours each, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Details

Position floats between units.
Weekends required: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period.
On-call: Not required.
Block schedules: Not required.
Patient ratio: 1:5.
Special requirement: Experience with Epic Hardstop system.
48-hour shifts approved.

Facility Type

Short Term Acute Care hospital.
379 staffed beds.
Level II Trauma Center.

Uniform/Dress Code

Licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN): solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (scrub tops may have colored piping). Print tops not allowed except in Children’s Hospital units.
Women’s Services units have unit-specific scrub attire requirements.
Unlicensed personnel wear solid hunter green uniforms or scrubs.

Required Qualifications

Licensure

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Experience

Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year.
Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Certifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
