Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse

Location: Marlton, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Strong, recent Home Health nursing experience required
• Patient population primarily includes those discharged from hospitals and nursing facilities
• Common diagnoses: Wound care, wound vacs, Pleurx drains, ostomies, heart failure, diabetes, oncology, post-surgical care, and orthopedic cases
• Procedures include wound care and management of drains and ostomies
• Productivity expectation: 6 visits per day (admissions count as 2 visits)
• Work schedule: Day shift, 5 days a week (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM), 40 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday coverage: Every 5th weekend and every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• Minimum 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Med Surg experience
• Experience with OASIS and Epic EMR systems
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience in a Home Health setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC only, valid at contract start
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) if applicable to unit (check specifics)
• Other certifications as applicable to specialty and unit requirements

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID)
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Education verification (diploma or transcript acceptable)
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Physical exam within the last 12 months
• Fit mask testing completed onsite within the first week of assignment (outside fit tests not accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per protocol
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Immunization or positive titer documentation for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer or declination)
  • Varicella
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen without THC panel within 6 months of start, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (deadline October 31)
• Visual acuity exam (20/40 or better)
• Latex questionnaire
• Two professional references within the last 2 years
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
• Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start date (NJ state requirement)
• Facility-specific documents including badge photo, personal/auto insurance, and car registration for home health

• No mileage reimbursement provided
• Candidates unable to complete fit mask testing due to religious beliefs must complete a religious exemption form and undergo PAPR testing onsite
• Failure to complete required competency exams or documentation on time may result in contract cancellation
