Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Elkhart, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
- Call Requirement: On call every 4th weekend and 1-2 evenings per week
- Daily Caseload: Approximately 12 cases
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level III Trauma Center
- Total Staffed Beds: 244

Candidate Requirements
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Active state license for Cath Lab Tech
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA only
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit assignment (refer to unit-specific job descriptions)
Background & Compliance
- Background check required within 90 days of start, covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked
- Education verification or copy of diploma/transcripts required
- Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cannabinoids, MDMA, methamphetamines, buprenorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, tramadol, benzodiazepines, morphine/opiate)
- Physical exam required prior to start
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Qgold within 1 year) or chest x-ray if PPD positive
- Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Flu vaccination required annually (October–May) or approved medical/religious exemption
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
- Drug testing and background checks must meet facility and agency standards
Additional Requirements
- On-site EKG exam required for Monitor Techs (if applicable)
- Clear, passport-style photo with solid background required for badge
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules (approx. 8-10 hours) prior to start
- Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement must be signed before starting
- Fit mask test preferred (required only at certain locations)
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required
- Travelers must comply with all facility-specific documentation and health requirements before start date
- No annual background check required for Advanced Practice Nurses (not applicable here)
