Job Opportunity: Pathologists Assistant / Pathology Technician

Shift

• Day shift
• Schedule: 4 days per week, 9.5 hours per day (7:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pathologists' Assistant, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only), must be immediately available throughout the assignment

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience if no prior travel experience
• Prior travel experience is required for clinical roles

Background and Compliance Checks

• Criminal background check within 90 days of start, including:

  • 7-year search with SSN trace, aliases, county and nationwide criminal searches, federal district and national federal searches, FACIS screening, and OFAC
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated annually
• Sex offender search within 90 days of start
• Education verification (diploma or transcript) required for technicians; 3rd party verification acceptable

Certifications & Competencies

• Unit-specific competency exams with minimum 80% score, including medication and fall prevention tests
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required
• Facility-specific trainings and attestations including:

  • Harassment Prevention Training (updated annually)
  • Implicit Bias Training (completed prior to start)
  • Hazardous Drug Acknowledgement of Risk
  • Aerosol Transmissible Diseases Training
  • Employee Health TB Risk Assessment and Questionnaire
• Photo for badge with specific requirements (passport style, no hats/masks, natural hair color, no facial piercings/tattoos)
