Job Opportunity: Oncology Chemo Certified Registered Nurse

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Position Details

  • Specialty: Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse
  • Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5 days x 8 hours)
  • Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 7 patients
  • Facility Type: Outpatient clinic
  • Charting System: Epic (Excellian)
  • Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
  • Scrub Color: Navy
  • Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
  • Block Scheduling: Accommodated
  • Locals: Not accepted within 100-mile radius
  • Pending License: Accepted
  • RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Minnesota
  • Minimum 2 years of Hematology/Oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Oncology infusion certification (ONS/ONCC) required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Chemotherapy certification required

Special Requirements / Clinical Focus

  • Care for all oncology diagnoses including GI/GU requiring infusion
  • Management of OB fluids, nausea/vomiting regimens
  • Administration of research protocols, migraine protocols, antibiotics
  • Experience with BCG, cystoscopy, intrathecal chemotherapy

Additional Information

  • First-time travel nurses are not accepted
  • No weekend shifts required
  • On-call is not required
  • Guaranteed hours subject to client cancellation policy (client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty)
  • Candidates must complete assigned pre-orientation online modules within 72 hours of receiving access; modules take 3-9 hours depending on specialty
  • Facility is latex-free; candidates with latex allergy should be aware
  • Candidates must comply with uniform guidelines (navy scrubs)
