Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Syracuse, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours per week)

Rotation includes every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) per department schedule
No on-call required

Job Description

Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department
Utilize Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

Valid RN license in New York
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Professional Requirements

Specialty-specific competency testing

Additional Information

No local contracts accepted; candidate must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
Epic EHR experience preferred or required
Emergency Department environment with pediatric patient care component
