Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Nights)

Location: Great Barrington, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a temporary assignment at a well-regarded community hospital with a strong reputation for patient satisfaction and quality care. The hospital offers comprehensive maternity services including private birthing rooms, specialized operating rooms for Cesarean births, and 24/7 anesthesia support. The nursing team works closely with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants to provide individualized care.

Required Qualifications

• License: Current Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience (highest required specialty experience)
• Additional Experience: Post Partum/Mother Baby experience required
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Certifications:

  • Active American Heart Association BLS
  • Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
  • Active STABLE Certification (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support)
• References: One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment
• Skills Documentation:

  • Labor and Delivery skills checklist (current within 1 year)
  • Post Partum skills checklist (current within 1 year)
  • Mother Baby skills checklist (current within 1 year)
• Other Requirements:

  • Must have own vehicle for assignment
  • Permanent address must be included with profile
  • At least two specific interview dates/times of availability must be provided (generic availability like "anytime" not accepted)
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be noted and verified at submission; no more than 3 days of RTO allowed, and requests after submission will not be approved

Additional Information

• Orientation: 8 hours non-billable orientation required
• Holiday and overtime multipliers apply
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Facility is a Joint Commission accredited Critical Access Hospital and Massachusetts DPH Primary Stroke Center
• Hospital offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services including maternity, surgery, orthopedics, and emergency care
