Role Overview
- Travel/contract RN assignment in Lubbock, Texas.
- Based in a children’s hospital.
- Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.
- Unit has 181 total staff beds.
- Float between units: Yes.
- On-call: No.
- Weekends required: Yes — 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period, variable/self-scheduling.
- Block schedules required: Yes.
- Expected ratio: 1:2–4.
- 48 hours approved: No.
- Contract length: 26 weeks.
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas.
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience).
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- ACLS.
- BLS.
- PALS.
- NRP.
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs.
Preferred
- At least Level III NICU experience.
Additional Notes
- The unit is described as a Level IV unit.
- Open to contracts longer than 13 weeks if the candidate desires.
- Parking is free in any unrestricted space; bike racks are available.
