Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team
Role Overview
- Travel/Contract RN role in Boston, Massachusetts.
- Pediatric vascular access team assignment.
- 36 guaranteed hours per week.
- 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation.
- First-timers accepted.
- Local candidates accepted within 50 miles of the facility, with a rate differential.
- Weekend work required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Pediatric Infusion experience within the last year.
- 2 years of Pediatric Infusion experience.
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience working with adult patients.
- Ultrasound guided IV placement experience.
- Vein finder experience.
- Vascular Access experience.
- Pediatric Hematology / Oncology experience.
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience.
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- None stated.
Schedule
- Shift times rotate between 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 11:00 AM–11:30 PM, and 3:00 AM–3:30 AM.
Unit / Clinical Setting
- Pediatric population, including pediatric-to-adult patients.
- Examples of relevant experience mentioned: HemeOnc and ICU.
- Acute care facility.
- Magnet facility.
- NICU Level III/IV.
- Trauma Level I.
