Job Overview

• Location: Largo, Maryland
• Employment type: Travel/Contract

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:30 AM–8:00 PM
• Weekly hours: 36
• Schedule notes: Every other weekend required; holidays required as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS

Additional Experience Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted if they have strong 3–5 years of PACU experience

Unit Details

• PACU with 16 rooms/beds
• Typical patient ratio: 1:4
• Patient population: Pediatrics through geriatrics
• Common cases include orthopedic, neurology, cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, general surgery, thoracic surgery, urology, and gynecology

Work Expectations

• Floating within the specialty is required
• Rotating with pre-op is required for this contract
• Floating to a sister facility may also be required as needed

• Scrub color: Navy blue
• On-call is not currently implemented for this unit
