Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Washington
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart Stroke Foundation
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
FHM
AWHONN Intermediate
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS

Clinical Setting

Labor and delivery unit
8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
Staffing ratio: 1:1–3

Core Responsibilities

Circulate
OB-GYN
Post-op
Pre-op
Scrub
Low-risk antepartum
Low-risk labor and delivery

Procedures and Equipment

Blood and blood product administration
Cardioversion/defibrillation
Cooling/warming blanket
Drains
Epidural pumps
PCA pumps
Syringe pumps
Wound vac
Heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate administration
Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
GYN surgeries
Couplet care
Transition nursery

Float Expectations

May float to postpartum and NICU based on skill set

Additional Notes

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Candidates from other Providence facilities may be eligible after a 3-month separation
First-time travelers are not accepted
