Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Job Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Charlottesville, Virginia
• Night shift
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Floating to pediatric units including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby
• Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Critical Care Float experience with 2 years of experience
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics
• Infant-Driven Feeding
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric PACU experience
• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience may be considered

Scheduling Notes

• Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved
• No time off can be approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment

Compliance / Onboarding Notes

• Must adhere to float policy
• Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding certification may be submitted pending completion; the course has a stated cost of $185
