Case Manager Travel/Contract Position
Location: Everett, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
Hours: 32 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Weekends: Required every other weekend
Locals: Not accepted
Floating: Required to float between units including multiple nearby campuses
Facility Overview

- Total staffed beds: 571 (across campuses)
- Charting system: EPIC
- Parking: Facility paid
- Scrub color: Any except reddish orange
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of case management experience within the last year
- Experience in discharge planning and care coordination
- Acute care experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Certifications Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit assignment and clinical track (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC, Chemotherapy certification for oncology, EFM for labor & delivery) – verify per assignment
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC, Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC) may be required depending on specialty/unit
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
- Education verification required for nursing degree (international education requires diploma/transcript)
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months; instant tests acceptable with attestation
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP within 10 years (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
- Respirator medical clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates (not required for sterile processing techs)
Additional Requirements
- Must complete facility and specialty-specific training modules annually via WorkRamp LMS prior to start
- Must complete EPIC training modules as assigned
- Must complete float policy acknowledgement due to floating requirement
- Must provide a passport-style badge photo with neutral background
- WA State Patrol background search required within 90 days of start for Washington placements
- Multi-state licensed nurses working with out-of-state compact licenses must complete WA demographic attestation prior to start
Notes
- Guaranteed minimum 72 hours per 2-week pay period
- Candidates may be required to float between units and campuses within reasonable distance
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- Pending WA license accepted for start
This position is ideal for RNs with acute care and case management experience who are flexible to float across hospital units and work a day shift schedule with weekend rotation.
