Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (08:30 AM - 05:00 PM)
- On Call/Weekend Requirements: None
- Float Requirement: None
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license in District of Columbia
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
- Experience as an RDN within the last year
- Experience working with adult patients
- Experience in outpatient and clinic settings
Additional Requirements
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
- Background checks including criminal history, education verification, and federal/state screenings
- Drug screening within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunization and health documentation including:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
- Documentation of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccines or positive titers
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella vaccine or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
Certifications & Competencies
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC) required
- Other certifications as required by unit or role (e.g., ACLS, PALS) may apply depending on assignment
Notes
- This is a local rate position within 60 miles of the facility location
- No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position
- Candidates must complete facility-specific modules and attestations prior to start
- Valid driver's license required only if driving is an essential job function
