Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job in Pennsylvania

Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
• Holidays: Expected to work 1 out of 2 major holidays (July 4th and Memorial Day)
• Floating: Will float to all medical-surgical floors and potentially rehab
• Patient Population: May care for COVID-19 patients
• Facility Environment: Tobacco and fragrance-free

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• I-9 or attestation
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal background check
  • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • PA FBI fingerprinting (must be completed within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days)
• Education verification (highest level of education)
• Professional references (2 required within last 3 years)
• Employment application or most recent resume
• Skills checklist (annual)
• Performance evaluation (completed onsite during assignment)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted)
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption/declination
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year (required by agency, not facility)
• Respiratory safety clearance (renew annually)
• Fit testing preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time: 7 days
• Interviews are not guaranteed; scheduling requests may not be accommodated
• Candidate will undergo clinical screening to determine fit before manager interview
• Pass/fail competency exams required, including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams (with remediation process if needed)
• Required to review and sign facility-specific documents such as code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, and health & wellness commitment
• New hire orientation and online learning modules must be completed by the first day of orientation
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
