Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - PICU

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Hybrid role combining Registered Respiratory Therapist and ECMO Specialist responsibilities.
  • Provide neonatal and pediatric respiratory critical care.
  • Operate ECMO systems on critically ill patients; if no ECMO assignment, backfill as Respiratory Therapist.
  • Every third weekend required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.

Experience Requirements

  • Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

    • COVID vaccination series or approved exemption; seasonal COVID vaccine preferred.
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance (RespSafety Agreement) required for all travelers; facility-specific fit testing done onsite.
  • Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (not required for APN).
  • Professional references: 2 verified from 2 of the last 3 employers.
  • Employment application with 10-year work history; gaps over 30 days require explanation.
  • Unit-specific skills checklist within 1 year prior to start.
