MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Workdays: Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon (North Ground MRI)
- Locals allowed at same rate
- Required systems experience: McKesson, EPIC
- Level 1 required
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 60 days of start, including:
- All states lived/worked in past 7 years
- State of permanent residence
- Statewide repository search
- Nationwide FACIS Level 3
- Sex offender registry
- Education verification or proof of diploma
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Virginia State Police fingerprinting required for certain units; results can pend but proof of submission must be on file
- Virginia Central Registry (CPS) search required for certain units and candidates; candidates must complete submission within 48 hours of contract signing; results can pend but proof of submission must be on file
- Two professional references required
- Complete application/resume required
- Skills checklist must be updated annually
Orientation and Facility Specifics
- Orientation includes exams/tests such as Pharmacology, Point of Care Testing, Airborne Precaution Mask Fitting (not pass/fail)
- Assigned learning modules during orientation (~6 hours) to be completed by end of orientation week
- Candidates must bring mask (cloth acceptable), non-wireless headphones, and laptop or cell phone (notify if not available)
Additional Notes
- No onsite certification renewals; renewals must be scheduled prior to contract start
- Certifications expiring within 1 month of contract start are not accepted
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
