Job Opportunity: Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

Position: Infusion RN
Schedule: 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (Monday-Friday), Wednesday off
Patient Care:
- 70% Oncology-based therapy
- 30% Blood transfusion, IVIG, hydration, iron therapy
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
Floating: Required to float between like units
Weekend shifts: Not required
Block scheduling: Possible, at manager's discretion
First-time travelers accepted only if they have chemotherapy certification and 2+ years of experience

Required Experience

Specialty: Registered Nurse (Infusion/Oncology)
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years (preferred 1-2 years, but 2+ years required for first-timers)

Required Certifications and Licenses

Registered Nurse license valid in California
BLS (Basic Life Support)
Chemotherapy Certification (CHEMO CERT) - Required for this position

Physical Exam within 1 year of start date
Drug Screening: 10-panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
Immunizations and Health Documents:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
Respirator Safety Clearance (RespSafety) for travel starts on or after 2/5/2024
Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
Education Verification: Required for nursing degree
Employment Application: Must include last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps/overlaps
References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years

Additional Notes

Pending licenses are not accepted
Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
Local radius: 50 miles (for local rate considerations)
Photo for badge required prior to start
Must complete required WorkRamp modules and Epic training as assigned
Float policy acknowledgment required
