Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Position Details

Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D)
Required Years of Experience: 2 years
First-time Travelers: Accepted
Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
On-call: Not required
Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs

Local Candidates: Accepted
Pending License: Not accepted
Return to Office Restrictions: 1 request allowed

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia
Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
ACLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
AWHONN Intermediate certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Facility Type: Teaching hospital, Level 1 Trauma Center
Bed Count: 228 staffed beds
Charting Systems: Centricity, Sorian, EDM, Lawson, Kronos
Parking: Parking costs are the responsibility of the employee; public transportation options available nearby
Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and holiday coverage required; no on-call duties

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience who is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and comfortable with a travel contract assignment in Washington, D.C.
