Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical) - Arizona, Kingman

• Orientation: Every Monday
• Charting System: Meditech (preferred experience, but not required)
• Float: Yes, may float to other Medical Surgical units if needed
• Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• Telemetry: Must have experience with Telemetry; potential for remote Telemetry monitoring
• Locals and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as applicable
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as applicable
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license for Arizona
• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including 7-year search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG (all required annually)
• Education verification: Transcript or Diploma required; NSCH verification acceptable if transcript/diploma unavailable
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start; annual TB questionnaire required
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Two professional references within 3 years
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable (medication/pharmacology competency)

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not required
• Float to other Medical Surgical units may be expected
• Orientation and facility-specific forms and trainings must be completed as a priority
• Clear, passport-style photo required for badge

This position is suitable for RNs with at least 1 year of Medical Surgical experience, including telemetry skills, who are flexible to float and work every other weekend. Both local nurses and first-time travelers are welcome.
