Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Home Health

Location

• Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
• Weekend work as needed
• No on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of home health nursing experience within the last year
• Experience with OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience in a Home Health setting

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency contact form prior to start
• Background checks within 1 year, including SS trace, county searches (7 years), nationwide, and sex offender registry; updated annually
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year; if past positive, negative chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire
• Immunization or titer proof for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (for candidates born 1957 or later)
• Hepatitis B immunity documentation (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
• Varicella immunity documentation (titer, vaccine, history of chickenpox, or declination)
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (October 1 - March 31)
• Vehicle insurance (personal or auto) required

Certifications & Competencies

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications noted but not explicitly required for this role
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

References

• Two professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
• One professional reference required for per diem non-acute care roles

This position is ideal for experienced home health RNs licensed in California with OASIS experience and the ability to work day shifts in the specified counties.
