Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Setting: Behavioral Health Hospital
Shift: Day (3 shifts of 12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Contract Length: 16 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide direct nursing care in assigned unit, ensuring proper and individualized patient care.
• Review patient medical history, diagnostic results, and current condition to develop nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Reconcile medical records for accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate patient responses and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, with psychiatric experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Health & Safety Compliance

• Fit mask test (N95 or approved alternatives) completed within the current calendar year and updated annually.
• Fingerprinting required only for Home Health and Long-Term Care positions (not applicable here).
• Background checks must be clear of any open hits; all cases must be resolved before starting.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training are not required due to on-site training for behavioral health RNs.
• Pass/fail testing for EPIC or Dysrhythmia/EKG exams may be required depending on unit; behavioral health RNs are exempt from EKG testing.
