Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – IMC Night Shift
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Unit: Intermediate Care (IMC)
- Shift: Night (4 shifts of 12 hours each; 18:30 to 7:00)
- Hours per week: 48 hours (option for 36 or 48 hours)
- Float required (ability to work in multiple units as needed)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Intermediate Care experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience with float assignments across multiple units
Documentation & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID required
- E-Verify compliance required for direct candidates; attestation for subcontractors
- Complete employment application/resume required
- 7-year work history verification required
- Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
- Clear headshot photo for badge
- Fingerprint consent form must be signed prior to start (New Mexico only)
- Flu exemption documentation must accompany any medical or religious exemptions
Additional Notes
- Candidates can attend orientation and EPIC training pending fingerprint clearance but cannot work on the unit until clearance is received (clearance ETA: 1-3 business days)
- Vaccine records must not state “per history,” “received elsewhere,” or similar phrases; must be verifiable documentation
- Declinations for flu and TDAP vaccines are not accepted; medical exemptions require provider signature and client approval
This position offers an opportunity to work nights in an Intermediate Care setting with a reputable healthcare provider in New Mexico. The role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and compliance with comprehensive credentialing and health requirements.
