Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location

Elizabethtown, Kentucky

Contract Length

12 weeks

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Weekend on-call and after-hours coverage may be required

Job Summary

Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate gamma cameras and other nuclear medicine imaging equipment, and analyze images to support diagnosis and treatment planning.

Required Qualifications

Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Kentucky
Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
BLS
ACLS
NMTCB or ARRT
Graduate of the military's Nuclear Medicine Program

Key Responsibilities

Prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures and provide patient support throughout imaging
Administer radiopharmaceuticals according to protocol
Operate gamma cameras and other specialized imaging equipment
Analyze nuclear medicine images and assist with interpretation findings
Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain radiation dose records
Perform quality control checks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain documentation
Participate in staff orientation and ongoing education
