Hours

35 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mental Health license in New York
• Mental Health (1 year of experience)
• Mental Health experience within the last year
• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field

Preferred Experience

• Experience conducting both assessment and treatment with adults with behavioral problems, substance use histories, and severe mental illness
• Inpatient or related experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, assessments, and follow-up care
• Determine and coordinate patient disposition for the appropriate level of mental health care
• Coordinate discharge planning with reentry social workers
• Complete required statistical reports and documentation
• Collaborate with correctional staff to support patient access, housing, and treatment disposition
• Coordinate care with other institutional programs
• Develop and lead group treatment
• Participate in clinical supervision, rounds, case conferences, and treatment planning
• May conduct psychological testing
• May supervise social work interns or student volunteers

• 2 forms of ID are needed
• Candidate must go through DOC and PREA directly with the client
