Overview

• Location: Lafayette, Colorado
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Variable 10-hour shifts; days or 4-9 hour shifts
• Weekly hours: 36
• Call: Required, including weekday and weekend call
• Weekends: Yes
• Floating: May float within the perioperative area and occasionally to other nursing units within scope

Role Summary

Registered Nurse responsible for the nursing care and safety of patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Endoscopy experience within the last year
• 1 or more years of experience
• Experience with GI equipment technical operation
• ERCP and EUS equipment skills

• Assess patient needs and procedure requirements

• Monitor aseptic practice and correct breaks in technique
• Support and educate patients and families
• Evaluate nursing care quality and participate in improvement efforts
• Document equipment use and supply consumption
• Assist with inventory management
