Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer

Job Overview

Travel assignment in Lewiston, Maine
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Variable, with days and evenings
Weekly hours: 40
Call required: Sunday night, plus holiday call
Floating required to Rumford Hospital and Bridgton Hospital

Required Qualifications

Ultrasound Technologist with 2 years of experience
Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
BLS
ARRT (Sonography)
RDMS
General studies ultrasound
Vascular ultrasound
Obstetrics ultrasound
Vascular Sonographer experience
Ob/Gyn Sonographer experience

Preferred Qualifications

RDMS – Peds preferred
Peds / GE Peds experience preferred

Work Setting

Ultrasound department
4-room unit
Patient population includes neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and ER patients

Responsibilities

Write preliminary notes on each case

Additional Details

1 patient per hour
Equipment includes portable units, GE brand, PACS, and SonoSite
EHR used: Cerner
Must be willing to work with outpatient, neonates, and biopsies
Common studies and procedures include abdominal, pelvic, ectopic, scrotal, thyroid, some carotids, paracentesis, FNA, thoracentesis, and some OB
