RN - Telemetry

Overview

• Travel RN position in Springfield, Missouri
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• 1 opening
• Auto-offer position
• Floating required on a rotational basis
• Weekend coverage as required by the facility
• No call required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• Inpatient experience
• Experience and competence in drug titration
• BLS from AHA only
• NIHSS must be obtained prior to start
• 4 trauma credits, or completion within the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for travelers from November 1 through April 1

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS from AHA only

Unit Details

• Cardiac/Med Surg patient population
• Patient ratios vary by shift
• Uses telemetry equipment and Alaris pumps

Work Expectations

• Uses the nursing process to provide direct patient care
• May care for patients with trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Must be able to stand and walk most of the time, bend and stoop, and assist with lifting and turning patients
• May need to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 15 lbs
• High exposure risk to blood and body fluids

Dress Code

• Black scrubs
• No torn clothes, open-toed shoes, or non-scrub attire
