• Unit: Emergency Department
• Beds: 28
• Staff per Shift: 15 (Day and Night shifts each include 1 Charge Nurse, 10 RNs, 2-3 Techs, 1 Unit Secretary)
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• EMR System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs

Job Description

• Perform typical ER procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKGs
• Work 4 weekend shifts per month; no on-call required
• Ideal personality: Active and personable

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications:

  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)

Additional Notes

• Floating to other units is not required for this role
• The unit operates on a 36-hour workweek schedule with weekend shifts included
