Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Webster, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

Provide critical care nursing for patients with severe medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, shock, trauma, and respiratory distress. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient conditions and implementing care plans
• Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
• Assisting physicians with procedures
• Monitoring and recording vital signs
• Managing ventilators, IABP, and other medical equipment
• Administering IV fluids and medications
• Suctioning and responding to life-saving situations
• Collaborating with the critical care team
• Advocating for patients and educating/supporting families
• Caring for pre- and post-operative patients
• Floating to lower acuity units as needed based on census

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

• Candidates currently on a per diem assignment at a Houston-area facility of this employer are not eligible
• Expedited submission checklist required for consideration
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Shift & Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Floating to lower acuity units may be required depending on census
