Level III Trauma Center with 190 beds
Provides 24/7 Emergency Care, Cardiovascular Services, Cancer Care, Orthopedics, Women’s & Children’s Health, and Primary Care
Teaching hospital with Joint Commission Accreditation
Operating Room (OR) department with advanced equipment including robotics, microscopes, lasers, DaVinci surgical system, and specialty OR tables/beds
Electronic Health Records (EHR): Cerner Surginet & Omnicell

Position Details

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room, Cardiovascular Surgery specialty
Shift Options:
- 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week) with weekend call and weeknight call rotation
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (36 hours/week) with weekend work rotation and weeknight call rotation
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Call requirements: Yes (weeknight and weekend)
Float requirements: Yes

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
Experience in Trauma, Bariatrics, Vascular Surgery, ENT Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN), Neurology, and Orthopedic Surgery

Preferred Experience

Experience with robotic surgery

Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

General surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gynecology, Bariatrics, ENT, Vascular, and Robotic procedures
