Unit: Labor and Delivery / OB Emergency Department
Setting: Women’s Hospital, Floors 1 & 2
Number of Beds: 23
Patient Ratio: 2:1
EMR System: CPN/Meditech
On-Call Requirement: None
Floating Requirement: Within women’s services (Postpartum/Antepartum)

Typical Procedures & Responsibilities

Provide all high-risk OB care
Manage magnesium and insulin drips
Circulate and scrub in surgical procedures

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Experience working with high-risk patients
One year or more of total travel nursing experience
Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in OB Emergency Department
Experience in high-risk, high-volume OB settings
