Travel RN - Operating Room Nurse

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel

Job Description

Provide patient care in the Operating Room as part of the surgical team, working with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, OR Technicians, and other personnel.
Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering care.
Responsibilities include ensuring supplies, managing case timeliness, communicating with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting during surgeries, and supervising personnel delivering patient care.
Work according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, physician orders, and hospital policies.

Shift Details

Day Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (4/10-hour shifts)
On Call: 10-12 shifts every 6 weeks

Requirements

Arizona RN License
BLS Certification
Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in the specialty (Operating Room)

Additional Information

Surgical scrubs provided
EMR system: Cerner
No option for 48-hour guarantee or blocked scheduling
