Job Overview

• Position: Home Health OT (Travel Contract)
• Location: Santa Maria, California
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 full years
• Licenses/Certifications: Active BLS and California OT License required
• Work Setting: Home-based care covering a specific geographical region

Job Details

• Unit: PT, OT, Speech (Marian & Arroyo Grande)
• EMR System: Cerner
• Rehab Aides/OTA/PTA: Present, usually permanent staff
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Holidays: Minor holidays off; major holidays only if needed
• Dress Code: Business attire with white lab coat; no jeans
• Shifts: Flexible, majority Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (8-hour days)
• Orientation: 1.5 to 2 weeks floor-specific orientation

Patient Population & Diagnoses

• Common Diagnoses: Orthopedic conditions, strokes, joint issues, spinal injuries
• Speech Therapy: Various diagnoses
• Experience with OASIS (government-mandated form) required
• Home health experience preferred but not mandatory

Additional Notes

• Candidates must have at least one year of experience working with PT/OT/Speech in any setting
• Outpatient and inpatient care not applicable
