Job Overview

• Location: Fairview, Pennsylvania
• Setting: Long-term care / skilled nursing facility
• Shift: Evenings
• Schedule: 8.25-hour shifts, every other weekend, holidays as scheduled
• Contract length: 15 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in Pennsylvania
• Long Term Care experience (1 year)
• Long Term Care experience within the last year
• BLS
• Driver's License
• Experience measuring wounds
• Experience with Point-Click Care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide floor nursing care in a long-term care setting
• Administer medications and treatments
• Monitor blood glucose and administer insulin
• Give IV medications
• Manage TPN and tube feedings
• Perform wound care and wound measurements
• Draw labs and collect specimens
• Provide Foley/catheter care and trach care
• Assist with ADLs
• Complete assessment charting, incident reports, vital sign monitoring, and oxygen administration/management

Patient Population

• Adult LTC, skilled, rehab, and dementia residents
• Hospice patients may also be cared for in-house

Additional Notes

• No telemetry monitoring on the unit
• No respiratory therapy staff on-site 24/7
• No call or standby requirement
• Floating may be required to other areas as needed
• Orientation is 3 days for the unit/department
• Must use facility timeclock and COTA
