Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour nights
• Self-scheduling, managed by the manager based on unit needs
• 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period

Unit Details

• Trauma ICU
• 18 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1-2 in ICU, 1:4 in PCU
• Floating required to inpatient units except Maternity/NICU

Patient Population

• Adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old
• Trauma injuries, sepsis, stroke, ARDS, MODS, COPD, and cardiac arrest

Clinical Responsibilities

• Titrate drips
• Read and interpret telemetry strips
• Care for patients on nasal cannula through vents
• Work with CVPs, IABP, Impella, A-lines, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000, ICP monitoring, Zoll-Thermoguard, and Belmont rapid transfuser as needed

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS
• Driver’s license at submittal
• Must not be a first-time traveler
• Must not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
• Must live outside the 50-mile radius rule

Additional Notes

• Manager interview only
• Pass/fail open-book exam during orientation; a score of 90% is required to continue
• Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation
• Navy blue scrubs
• RTO must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
