Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2-3 for adults
Common Patient Diagnoses: Trauma, cardiac issues, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress
Orientation: 1 shift of unit/department-specific orientation
Return to Office (RTO): Required within 7 days upfront for the 13-week contract; no additional RTO approved
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
Holiday Requirement: Minimum of 2 holidays during contract period
Scheduling: Self-scheduling available for core staff and travelers; block scheduling generally not approved except possibly for weekends only
Call Back: If placed on call and called back in, must arrive within 30 minutes

RNs are required to titrate drips, including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips (monitor brand: GE) with tele tech oversight
Troubleshoot respiratory equipment from nasal cannula to ventilators
Floating assignments typically to PCU or occasionally MedSurg with typical patient ratios (1:4 or 1:5)
Nurse aides and healthcare support techs assist based on census and volume

Must have a valid driver’s license at time of submission (used to verify candidate is within 50-mile radius)
Candidates may not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with a specific health system (restriction applies)
Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to remove will result in contract termination
RN candidates must pass a 90% score on a pass/fail open book exam during orientation (exam covers skills learned)
Block scheduling and duo scheduling requests are generally not approved
Fingernail policy strictly enforced

Nurse aides and healthcare support techs are scheduled Monday-Friday, 0800-1630, 3 days per week
Weekend days are Saturday and Sunday
