Rad Tech – Westminster, Colorado

Position Details

• Specialty: Xray Tech
• Location: Westminster, Colorado
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights (7p-7a), 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Schedule Options: 4x10s or 3x12s
• Weekend Requirements: None (except possible Memorial Day)
• Holiday Requirements: None (except possible Memorial Day)
• Call Requirement: Yes, call required with response time expectations

Department & Work Environment

• Department: Radiology – General X-Ray
• Equipment: Siemens XR rooms, Shimadzu and Carestream portables
• Number of XR rooms: 3 rooms and 5 portable units
• Imaging Types: OR, portables, outpatient exams
• Average Exams per Day: 20-30
• EMR/PACS Systems: Epic and PACS
• Radiologist Support: In-house IR/PA radiologists available
• Floating: May cover Pain Clinic as needed
• Scrubs: Royal blue or OR scrubs provided by hospital

Required Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT (R)) with at least 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience
• Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with OR/C-arm procedures
• X-Ray Technician experience
• Must submit driver’s license (radius up to 60 miles)
• Must be in-state for week of orientation (even if some modules are remote)
• Agency must provide traveler radiation badge

Additional Information

• No IV insertion required
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) in department
• Department-specific orientation coordinated with charge tech or supervisor
• Supervisor available for support during absence of lead tech
